Research on Domestic Violence against Women in Turkey in 2008, is a study based on nationwide survey sampling, which is planned to collect information on the prevalence and consequences of violence against women, the level of knowledge of the law on combating violence against women, issues of violence against women and health outcomes, the struggle of women with domestic violence and the perception of domestic violence.
The study of domestic violence against women in Turkey 2008 was conducted by an international consortium including our Institute within the scope of the European Union 2005 pre-accession financial assistance programme. Financial support for the research was provided by the European Commission. Research on Domestic Violence Against Women in Turkey 2008 final meeting was held in Ankara on 11 February 2009.
