START: June 22, 2026 (Time: 09:00)

END: July 3, 2026 (Time: 17:00)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • Document Clarity and Completeness: All documents uploaded to the system must be legible, clear, and complete. If it is determined that any information entered during the application is false or misdeclared, or if there is an error in entering scores (such as Academic GPA, ALES score, Foreign Language score), or if a wrong score is entered (even by as little as 0.1 points), or if the application is made with missing documents—the registration of the candidates will NOT be processed, even if they pass the general admission exams.

    • Graduate Education Regulation, Article 9: "The registrations of those who apply based on false declarations and/or forged-falsified documents shall be cancelled as of the date of registration to the program."

  • Program Selection Limits: Candidates can apply to a maximum of 3 programs. To view program admission requirements, entry criteria, and additional requested documents, you can click on the degree-granting programs at https://akts.hacettepe.edu.tr/index.php?dil_kod=2 .

  • Application Process & Exam Entry Form: After completing the application process online via https://bilsis.hacettepe.edu.tr/oibs/ina_app/, you must print out two copies of the "Candidate Registration and Exam Entry Form" ("Aday Kayıt ve Sınav Giriş Formu"). Candidates must bring this document to the exam.

  • Correction & Resubmission Policy: If there is an erroneous entry or a missing document in your files, your application will not be approved by the Institute Directorate. Instead, it will be returned to you via the e-mail address declared in your application. Your application will only be reconsidered if you make the corrections and resubmit. Therefore, it is crucial that you check your e-mail account frequently. For requests and questions, you can email hips@hacettepe.edu.tr.

  • Exam Day Requirements: Candidates who have completed their application must be present at the exam venue on the specified exam date and time, carrying their "Candidate Registration and Exam Entry Form" and all other required application documents. Click here for the Applicant User Guide.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR APPLICATION

1. Candidate Registration and Exam Entry Form
  • A printout of the form generated by the system after the online application must be taken and must be signed by the candidate.

2. Diploma or Graduation Certificate (Graduation Certificates obtained via E-Devlet are accepted)
  • For Master's applications: 1 copy of the Bachelor's degree graduation certificate.

  • For Ph.D. applications: 1 copy of the Bachelor's degree and 1 copy of the Master's degree graduation certificate.

  • Important Note: Candidates who are in a position to graduate but have not yet received their graduation certificate must upload an official letter from their university stating "is in a position to graduate" (mezun olabilecek durumdadır) instead of a diploma.

3. Transcript (Transcript Documents obtained via E-Devlet are accepted)

Please read the explanation regarding the GPA carefully. Applications that do not comply with the rules stated below will result in the cancellation of student registration, even if the candidate wins the right to official enrollment!

  • For Master's applications: 1 APPROVED (certified) or E-Devlet-issued Bachelor's transcript showing the graduation GPA.

  • For Ph.D. applications: 1 APPROVED or E-Devlet-issued Bachelor's transcript and 1 APPROVED or E-Devlet-issued Master's transcript showing the graduation GPAs.

  • Applications are accepted based on the 100-point grading system.

  • If your transcript displays a grade based on the 100-point system determined by your graduated university, this grade must be used for the application.

  • Although the applicant interface allows entries for both the 4.00 and 100-point scales, the 100-point score entry is mandatory. If your transcript is based on the 4.00 system and does not contain a 100-point equivalent on it, you must only use the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) conversion table to convert the 4.00 system to the 100-point system. Click here for the conversion table!

  • The Diploma Supplement (Diploma Eki) will not be accepted in place of a transcript.

  • Important Notes on Transcripts:

    1. Applications made with your own personal grade conversions or grade conversion documents issued by your university outside of the transcript itself will not be accepted. Even if you pass the exam, your student registration will not be completed!

    2. For candidates who are in a position to graduate and whose uploaded transcripts do not yet feature a final graduation GPA, the latest total cumulative GPA must be entered. If the candidate qualifies for registration, the GPA uploaded during the application will be taken into account; any graduation GPA calculated subsequently will not be valid.

4. ALES Certificate and Validity
  • One (1) copy of the ALES result certificate showing the minimum threshold score and score type specified in the application requirements of the respective Department.

  • Equivalent Documents accepted in place of ALES: GRE or GMAT Result Certificates.

  • For applications made with GRE or GMAT certificates, the ALES-GRE and ALES-GMAT score conversions will apply. The score on your certificate must be converted according to the provided table and entered into the system. Click here for the conversion table!

  • The validity period of these documents is five (5) years from the date the exam results are announced.

  • Important Note: In accordance with the regulation amendment dated 14/04/2020, an ALES certificate is not required for candidates who already hold a "Ph.D." degree applying to graduate programs. If you have a Ph.D. and do not have an ALES score, a score of 70 will be assigned automatically. If you have a Ph.D. and your ALES score is higher than 70 and within its validity period (5 years from the exam date), you may enter your actual ALES score.

5. Foreign Language Certificate (YDS / e-YDS / YÖKDİL/ TOEFL)
  • Any valid foreign language certificate will be accepted, provided it meets the minimum scores specified in the admission requirements of the respective Department, in accordance with the ÖSYM International Foreign Language Exams Equivalency Document.

  • Exclusion: Exams taken in Turkey whose sessions were not held in state university buildings and whose result documents do not contain exam venue and date information (even if their equivalency is recognized by ÖSYM) will not be accepted.

  • If you possess one of the foreign language scores specified in the table, the score on the Exam Result Document must be converted to the YDS equivalent shown in the table and entered into the system. Click here for the conversion table!

  • The validity period for YDS / e-YDS / YÖKDİL documents is five (5) years from the date the exam results are announced.

An Equivalence Certificate ("Denklik Belgesi") is only required for Turkish citizens who completed their education abroad. International candidates are not required to provide an equivalence certificate. (In cases where the issuance of the equivalence certificate takes a long time, a conditional registration can be made with a document proving that an application has been submitted to YÖK).
